What is Endermologie

Endermologie was the world's first patented technology to fight cellulite and is the cellulite treatment approved by the American Food and Drug Administration. It is a non-invasive treatment which was established over 14 years ago and is now used all over the world by clinics like ourselves as well as plastic & cosmetic surgeons. Endermologie was originally used in the treatment of burns to prevent skin contraction and to loosen scar tissue. During its initial use it was noticed that it improved the appearance of cellulite and became widely aesthetic purposes

What is Cellulite?

Cellulite is often described as the orange-peel effect most commonly found on the buttocks and thighs of up to 90% of the female population. There are 4 types of cellulite:

» Slight Cellulite: Skin is smooth when you are standing, cellulite is only visible when the skin is pinched or contracted

» Compact Cellulite: The cellulite is visible when you are standing but there is no pain

» Loose Cellulite: The cellulite is present but is not visible when you are standing due to water retention in the dermis and hypodermis. The cellulite is visible when you contract the skin.

» Painful Cellulite: Any type of cellulite that is tender or painful during contraction of pinch test

About The Treatment

During treatment you will wear your own specially designed body stocking. The therapist carries out the treatment with a hand held massaging head which delivers intermittent suction and rolling to the area being treated. Most patients describe the action as relaxing because the motion of the unit relates closely to that experienced with a deep body massage. The treatment is non-invasive and the rollers do all the work. Treatments normally last about 45 minutes
